aimee groverThis past week Troy & I made it out to our FAVORITE place – Forest Home! I grew up going to summer camp every year with my family…so it has a very special place in my heart. My dream as a kid was to someday work in the snack shop & make yummy shakes for all the campers. In college I did end up working at Forest Home…but not in the shake shack. I was on the recreation team life guarding at the lake and operating the challenge course. Those were some of the most fun summers of my life! Not to mention I met my sister’s husband & worship guru Brian Wurzell there…and I also met my Troy :) Our day trip up to the mountain was SO much fun! I even ran into my friend and co-lifeguard Brother Nature – he looked pretty epic by his truck :) Seriously, this place has had an incredible impact on our lives! We love you FoHo!
Snapped these frames while on the road. We love being mobile. Lets do a destination wedding :) Are you in?
Troy finally got me in the water this summer. More to come of our beach photo shoot with gal pal Marina.
Last night we went to the Utterly Engaged one year anniversary party & took home this cartoon of us drawn by Carton Slinger. It was SUCH a fun experience! He drew us in just two minutes! How great would it be to have a cartoonist at your wedding? Don’t you just love that he even gave us little cameras? This is definitely a framer!
Hello everyone! This is Aimee Grover with my first post on Keeping Up With The Grovers. I’ve been formerly known for my crafty blog Homespun Forte but have recently joined forces with the hubs :) Because we shoot together & do just about everything…well…together we decided it was time to combine! Be sure to subscribe to see our latest photo shoots & homespun posts by me! All of the same good stuff on one blog! So with no further ado I bring to you my first personal post about someone I love SO much…my mama. Isn’t she the prettiest? We took this photo when we visited my parents in the Seattle area earlier this summer. My mom came down to Orange County for a visit this week & brought us some house warming gifts. I absolutely love them! They are so fresh and summery & go perfectly with our home decor – isn’t it amazing how mom’s can do that? While she was here in Newport Beach, we went bike riding over to Balboa Island, visited Kean coffee, went shopping at fun little boutiques & went to night church at Rock Harbor. We had a guest speaker, Darren McWatters who taught on “God is Holy” and it was revolutionary! I have been thinking about it all week. The next morning I woke up to find my mom doing her daily devotions and writing out the whole message my memory. It has been such an encouragement in life to see how truly devoted to the Lord my mom has been throughout her life. She wakes up in the wee hours of the morning to spend time with God first. I am so grateful for her & the faithful example she has been to me!
