This past week Troy & I made it out to our FAVORITE place – Forest Home! I grew up going to summer camp every year with my family…so it has a very special place in my heart. My dream as a kid was to someday work in the snack shop & make yummy shakes for all the campers. In college I did end up working at Forest Home…but not in the shake shack. I was on the recreation team life guarding at the lake and operating the challenge course. Those were some of the most fun summers of my life! Not to mention I met my sister’s husband & worship guru Brian Wurzell there…and I also met my Troy :)
Our day trip up to the mountain was SO much fun! I even ran into my friend and co-lifeguard Brother Nature – he looked pretty epic by his truck :) Seriously, this place has had an incredible impact on our lives! We love you FoHo!

I’m so excited for Tracy and Ian! They are having a baby boy who is due any week now. These pictures were taken in Seal Beach – one of our new favorite spots!

About a month ago my wife Aimee and I had the honor to be the models for Jessica Claire’s photography workshop. It was a lot of fun and they put Aimee in a beautiful dress. The pictures were recently posted on the Style Me Pretty Blog. It was a 2 part blog post, so here is part 1 and here is part 2

Congrats dude. I saw the post on SMP and you and the little lady totally rocked it. I think the models made the shoot if I do say so myself. =)

Nice
Last week, Heather from Simply U Proposals contacted me to photograph one of her clients upcoming proposals. I always get super excited when I get to be there for the proposal and I think get even more nervous then the groom proposing. The couple, Kyle and Melissa, are from Alabama and came to California to vacation and watch the BCS championship game. They are both huge fans of the water and met while wake boarding, so Kyle wanted to propose on a boat. Simply You Propose arranged for a boat at the Carlsbad Lagoon for the couple to cruise around in. The driver, who actually worked for the Watersport company, pretended to be a past friend of Kyle’s. I was on board pretending to take pictures for the Watersport company’s website. Kyle and Melissa graciously volunteered to be “models” for some feature shots of the boat. After cruising around for twenty minutes we stopped the boat to do some posed “promo shots”. I arranged them in a few poses, and then had Kyle go down on one knee & take Melissa’s hand. Melissa was so focussed on the camera that she didn’t realize that Kyle was holding a beautiful engagement ring. I directed Melissa to look down at Kyle, and then caught her reaction as his proposal unfolded.

So awesome Sarah – i love Redlands charm :) My toes were painted with OPI’s new Shrek line – the polish was called Rumple’s Wiggin :) The pool must have made them look fancier than they were!
